Thanks for your input, all of that's true I just figured it would be fun to shoot some steel and be able to use mildots ect for fun at longer ranges. Realistically any scope is fine for the hunting anyways, I shot a bear a couple weeks back just using iron sights with my r92 .357 Rossi at 25...
Yeah I hunt in the bush near North Bay, Ontario, it's all bush, 100 yards is about a normal shot. Only time it would be 200 plus would be if I use a farm field but even then I can make it work. You guys rock.
Thanks guys I will consider all of your input. Money isn't a huge deal, I liked the idea of trying a higher end scope for once. Dialing vs just holding over, I just have no experience doing.. just like the idea of trying out shooting some gongs at long range and being able to target shoot too...
I only put it in the title but the S&B 3-12x42 klassic I really like the reticle on it and the feedback from this forum on that scope so far but yes it is a little more scope than I need, I deer hunt usually in the bush where in November I can see maybe 150 yards, possibly can hunt a field too...
