Kimber Mountain Ascent - Accuracy?
Just finished siting in my 270 win ascent . It is using 129 LRX with 57 gr IMR 4831 put through the Garmin at 3147 FPS . 3 shot group at 1 1/2 “ hi at 100 yds . It shot a .48” group during site in. This rifle has been one of the easiest new guns to work with that I have ever used. Very happy... -

Who else hunts with a sub 8lb magnum rifle?
I have 7.5 lb 7mm rem mag built on a lightened pre 64 action with a 24” #2 contour barrel and a brown stock . It is a very good shooter .3 to .5 groups . Never been bothered by recoil much. Figured a 7lb 270 win ascent wouldn’t be to bad , and it is no problem. Tried muzzle brakes years ago and... -

Kimber Mountain Ascent - Accuracy?
I just returned from the range with my new 270 win ascent and it shot 3 groups , 3 shot groups very well. They were .7” , .6” and .89” this was with 129 gr LRX and IMR 4831.I also was concerned but after getting the rifle I adjusted the trigger from factory 4.5 lb to 2.5 Lb like all my rifles...
