    Got a baby due 11/5 so I’m hunting real close to home (tampa, fl). Hope to take something via bow on public this year. Crazy most of the country thinks Georgia is tough but that’s where we go for easy harvests.

    Last year I had one weekend in Georgia and let many dies walk, one had 2 big fawns (no spots) suckling on her so I didn’t take any of them. Passed a couple ugly small bucks too. Ended up with nothing that weekend

    What's your favorite caliber?

    I like 6.5cm with hornady precision hunter ammo. It’s my only rifle but I researched a lot prior to buying a few heads ago. I’d do it again or just get a .308 for ammo availability. There were times during Covid when local shops had no 6.5cm for months but had 5-10 different bullets in stock...

    the best 243 win bullet

    had trouble with SST and light blood trails. Switched to precision hunter eld and animals drop much quicker. Better on the target paper too.

    .308, coming from a guy with just a 6.5cm. Local ammo selection is 4x better with .308.
