KRG Echo - Sporterish version of bravo for tikkas

This looks like a nice option at $300, I was getting ready to grab a boyd varmint and turn it into a rokstok. Does anyone see any room to trim down weight? 42 oz is heavier than the BC stock I am currently running.

    Would you buy this scope?

Until you have 8 bucks nervously milling in a group at 400 and your trying to pick out the best one without shooting something too big. But thanks for the advice.

    Severe Tendonitis anyone??

Have you looked into stem cell injections? I torn the medial tendon pulling something away and PRP was helpful but stem cell therapy knocked it all out. I did Whartons Jelly which is stem cells harvested from umbilical cords. Insurance does not cover it but it was $800 well spent, pain free two...

    Let's see some Boyd's stocks!

Was considering doing exactly the same thing to modify a comb on a pro varminter. Anyone have an idea of how much weight can be shaved by getting aggressive in the forend and butt?

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Where are you measuring to see a 2-3 shield? I have culled thousands and more than a couple over 300lb and not seen that. I think the thickest I have ever seen was a solid inch and it stands out in my memory as distinctly larger than normal. It was punched with a .45lc and a hardcast flat point...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Add in the fact a lot of them are shot from a vehicle at poor angles as it runs away. Definitely contributes to the reputation of being hard to put down. I have seen .270 with 140 Bergers work just fine.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

I use a lot of 64gr bonded at work and they are a very balanced performance. Typically hold 90%+ weight through barriers, penetrate well and hold together for a .40-50" mushroom. They dont do anything great but do everything else well enough with no significant downside.
