    Lions in my Elk unit

Lions...no worries, we've hunted in lion country for years and it does not seem to bother the elk herds. Wolf...well that's another story. In my experience, I've hunted elk for many years without wolf pressure and they are more predictable and vocal. When hunting in those same areas after wolves...

Kuiu verde or valo for Colorado elk and muley?

With either of those you are going to look like a big dark blob to an elk, you should save your money and just get some cheaper alternative.

I got smoked buying a knife off a FB group. Anything I can do?

Sorry to hear that! PayPal has very little protections...heck, even keeping money in that platform (including its Venmo label) is risky because they are not a bank and there are very little protections for the consumer with these utilities.

How do you pay for your gear?

I'd say only buy what you will use and what you need, no reason to spend money on high priced crap that you will never get a return out of other than the dopamine hit when you make a purchase or bragging to your friends who really couldn't care less about what you have. Might want to take a trip...

Should you carry a firearm while bowhunting in Wyoming

I would carry a pistol (.454 Casull or 10mm w/solid core bullets) just in any event. In my opinion the weight addition is a small price to pay if you ever needed it. Nice to have next to you while sleeping too, i heard they can keep you warm and comforted.

    Short bed truck sleeping?

I sleep in my 5.5' Tundra bed with a topper....i'm 5'10" and it sucks. Have to sleep corner to corner and with a blow up mattress its wedged in there all goofy. I want to get the 6.5" bed and put a SS topper on it with a pop-up tent mounted on top of that for sleeping. Damn, this thread is going...

    First truck purchase advice

I drive a 2016 Tundra in Michigan and its got 250k miles on it with zero rust. Lots of car washes with underbody in the winter because we use salt on our roads. Also have a 2012 4Runner with 140k miles, same thing..no rust and clean. Just take good care of them and you shouldn't have issues. The...

Have any of you thought who gets your stuff. Or do they even want it

I told my wife to get a hold of my closest hunting buddies and let them choose something that they want and will hold a memory of me and our hunts. Other than that she can do whatever she desires so she doesn't feel burdened with the task...if she outlives me that is.

Anyone regret going from 3500/2500 series to a 1500 series?

I would regret all of the above...The only truck I wouldn't have a regret buying is a Toyota Tundra 2020 or earlier.

    Advice for Solo hunts

There are drop camp folks out there who can take care of so much so that you can simply focus on hunting an area if you aren't too concerned with bagging something quickly but rather learning and putting in the time. I've done this in Utah, Montana and Colorado. Success can vary greatly...

Jimmy John kills potential new state record sheep in NM

I completely agree with you Wyo_hntr, guys like this are giving hunting a poor view in the public. Actually, calling what he does "hunting" would be a misnomer. Sure, we see this all over, even at the fenced in operations...doesn't make the hunt attractive. SCI is another supporter of these...

    Carnivore Diet

I agree, it's amusing to hear and see all of this heavily marketed nonsense and how serious and far people take it. Simple facts: EVERYONE's body is different, Science is flawed, Its not hard to eat healthy and get some exercise each day....go with God; take care of yourself mentally and...
