    40 Mile Caribou opener delayed Steese area.

    I think walk-in would be awesome. The last time I tried the Steese it was very dissapointing to see the distruction from ATV and SXS's. My brother-in law and I walked in a few miles and carried out a little bull.

    AK Moose 2024

    There are a few amazing elders in AK that have used a ruger mini 14 for all their bear hunts. Being able to shoot well seems to be pretty key. I've carried a Ruger redhawk but the things a tank, now I just try to have my main rifle close to me:)

    Yup yup, using the esophagus as a I do! I hunt out of a cabin and on a lake tho, so it's pretty easy to have stuff available!
