I'm always late to the party. Spent some time up in the San Juans and when I finally took a minute to look at my phone I see all the in stock notifications that are all already out of stock.

What barrel do you have? Were you able to load those 75’s to mag length?

I’ll check those out. I did a bit of research and found a couple folks saying they were unable to get the 73gr ELD-Ms to shoot well in their White Oak Armory barrels. That’s what I happen to have so I changed my order over to 69gr Sierra TMKs.

Awesome, thank you. I'll get an order placed and see how they do in my rifle.

That's what I did, I built a 5.56 that is almost an exact copy of my 6.5 Grenel to save money on practice. Recoil is almost exactly the same.

I've been toying with picking up some 73gr ELD-M's as the TMK's are nearly impossible to find. Does anyone have any experience hunting with the 73gr ELD-M's?

Hard to reload and beat the price on some of the AAC offerings. Biggest gain on the reloading side is developing a load to your specific rifle and then consistency.

Thanks for that additional information. I did just about pull the trigger on a 6ARC barrel the other day but have a number of calibers already and probably don't need as much overlap as I do. Where I hunt, typically the longest shot is about 400 yards so I'm think I should be alright with what...

Thanks for the quick response, I was leaning that way last year after reading Mark Larue's 6.5 Grendel Elk story but chickened out. Going into this season with more confidence.

I've been in and out of this thread over the years and decided I'd go ahead and create an account. I have a quick question. For those of us who are unable to hunt with .22 caliber bullets, what do you suggest? I have a 6.5 Grendel AR with 18" barrel that's light and handy compared to my 308...
