4 of us went to Colorado 2 years ago. 3 bought OTC tags. Since this was our first time I chose to tag along and not buy a tag. Just go for the experience and help carry out meat if one of the 3 were successful. One of them bagged one on the last day of second rifle. The whole experience was...
Thanks for the advice! As for mounting these. Is there any special cautions I need to take to drill through carbon fiber? Or, just mark it, tape it and go for it? The kit came with t-nuts. Figured I could drill the hole with a forstner bit and also recess the inside to make room for the t-nut...
I like that idea. Options are always nice. And I would only be running the tripod when out west when I'm doing a lot of glassing. Here at home, not so much. The Henderson I bought is pretty low profile and weighs 1 oz. Thank you for the insight!
Weight doesn't bother me so much. It's more the ergonomics with the plate installed. And once I drill holes in the stock, there is no going back. Do you notice the rail at all when handling your rifle? Just test fitting the 3" rail piece up to the stock I have, it protrudes a little on each...
I have a factory Browning X-Bolt and am considering running a Henderson Precision Arca plate on the stock to mount to a tripod I use for glassing. For those that have this setup, do you like it?
Want to get some feedback before I go drilling holes in the factory carbon fiber stock. The rail...
This one has caught my eye and it says it's 11.8 oz for 26,800 mAh. And close to $20. I feel actual weight will be heavier but haven't found an actual measurement by a customer.

As a bonus drink, Wrangler.com has all pants buy one get one 1/2 off. And that stacks on top of their first responder discount if you get that and if you use Rakuten, you'll get an additional 10% off. Stack all those discounts.
After 75 pages of awesomeness, figure I'd at least throw something out there that I didn't see. Cheap or not, these items are invaluable to me when putting miles on the body in the elements...
Found on page 59. Almost caught up to page 75. I have the Gerber dime and I carry it every day. It's crazy how often I use it and it's so small, it almost disappears in your pocket.
Thanks! I wasn't getting much love on this thread and didn't know how to delete it. Started another one with a poll and it got more attention. Votes leaned Tikka but the consensus was: Tikka if I want to tinker with better aftermarket support. Browning if I want a nice rifle out of the box and...
That seems to be spot on from what I've seen/read. Out of the box and leave it alone (minus the trigger); Browning. Still good out of the box but want to mix things up and sky is the limit; Tikka.
