Couldn’t agree more. The mountains are for sure my happy place! Ended up moving to WY for close to a year during the VID. Was an amazing year! Was so sad when I ended up having to move back down.

    BIPODS- A busy market now!

Good to know. Never even thought about using the bino harness for a rear support. Thats a great idea to save weight as I was contemplating carrying a bag.

    BIPODS- A busy market now!

Very much appreciate this! So let’s say I wanted to stick with the trekking poles and quick sticks for seated or kneeling shots and only running one bipod (need a setup for glassing). Would the javalin with short legs be the route to go? If so, would you recommend the tac hunt or base model?

Pics of animals you weren't hunting

Never in my life have I seen this many bucks together. Not even on a high fence ranch. Absolutely wild!

Very nice! I’ve been talking about hunting out West forever. Finally taking some action and making it happen. Drew an elk and deer tag this year in MT. Will be purchasing an OTC bear tag as well. Hoping to do some bow hunting in CO next year.

I’m down in Houston. I do make my way out to east Texas periodically though (usually in the fall). My in-laws have a place out there. You happen to do any public land hunting over there?

    DIY Texas Aoudad hunt

Fellow Houstonian here. This is definitely a hunt I've been interested in myself. Any training pointers, specifically to Houston, that you thought helped you in your preparation that'd you be willing to share? You happen to still be in Houston?

Zeiss SLF 10x40 vs Sig Sauer ZULU6 HDX 12x42

Hi - Been whitetail hunting on and off here in Texas for most of my life, but I’d consider myself pretty green, especially when it comes to elk hunting. I’ll be headed out West this year and am seeking some insight from all you professionals out there haha. Ideally, I’d like to go when a set...

    Sig Zulu 6 12’s or 16’s?

What size would be the right choice for someone who’d be hunting thick pine more regularly for whitetail with the occasional elk hunt out West?
