    Down vs Synthetic Sleeping Bags

    +1 for good down. Treated the outside of my western mountaineering with NikWax solar guard and it helps slow down getting the down wet. I always sleep with a liner so I can just wash that. I keep our down bags layed flat under beds instead of the large bags.

    0.40 in marsupial holster for me. I used to have a thigh holster that would get snagged on brush. Chest carry kept everything tight.

    Been using model 70 30-06 and ELD-X with success. As mentioned repeatedly, it doesn’t require a lot to get a boat down.

    Used the MTM case and the. Added 1/2” foam to the lid to help keep them in place for travel and as the other foam wears out. Really like that Iron Will case, may be time to treat myself :)

    What a great idea! I might try to do this with layered foam and cut it with a hot wire for small game silhouettes.
