I recently took a $60k/year pay cut due to my wife and I having our first child and wanting to be home more. In my previous job, I worked every other weekend, lots of evenings and nightshifts, and wouldn't have been home to see the kid but maybe 1 night a week, if that. New job has no weekends...
Meopta Meostar R2 2.5-15x56 RD with BDC-3 Reticle and Burris XTR signature 30 mm rings and inserts included. Scope is in excellent condition and you will not find a better lowlight scope outside of night vision or thermal. I’ve got Zeiss, Kahles, and Nightforce on other rifles and they’re all...

Meopta Meostar 2.5-15x56 RD with BDC-3 reticle and illuminated red dot. If you’re looking for a lowlight scope, they don’t get better than this setup unless you go thermal. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, I’m just going a different direction. Scope is currently mounted and if you’d like better...
.50 BMG is optimal.....on a more serious note, any of those rounds through the lungs will put an elk down in short order. I have a personal affinity for .284 and .308 caliber rounds on elk but the 6.5 will do the job.
Christensen Ridgeline .300 Win Mag shooting 215 Bergers if I'm in open country or 180 Accubonds if I'm going to be primarily in timber topped with a Zeiss V6 3-18x50
I’ve got a ‘16 f250 with a 6.7 powerstroke. So far, so good. It has enough power to drag whatever you put behind it 80 mph but longevity has yet to be determined.
