    How did that ELD-M fare against an elk shoulder? I love the destruction a light jacketed cup and core bullet causes but have always been leery of bone impacts on larger species like elk.

    First elk hunt. What cartridge should I use?

    .50 BMG is optimal.....on a more serious note, any of those rounds through the lungs will put an elk down in short order. I have a personal affinity for .284 and .308 caliber rounds on elk but the 6.5 will do the job.

    Need a new truck, what’s good?

    I’ve got a ‘16 f250 with a 6.7 powerstroke. So far, so good. It has enough power to drag whatever you put behind it 80 mph but longevity has yet to be determined.
