One of the gun dog vets I follow on just recently did a thing about running dogs in the heat. His rule is if the temp and humidity % add up to over 150 its to hot and he doesn't run his dogs.
From everything I could find everyone was happy with his barrels. It was the rifle builds and lead times people had issues with. We will find out I guess.
I've done eastern north dakota at the end of September the past couple of years. The weather is highly variable. The first year we went the first day it was near 100 degrees with a 30+ mph wind. Felt like standing in front of a furnace. The next day was in the upper 60's.

Thanks for this. Do they have tikka action wrenches too? I've looked at that site before and haven't been able to find them.
Any reason I can't use a 1.25" crowsfoot wrench on the outside of the action with a torque wrench? This would just be to install a prefit barrel so 70ish foot pounds...
Let us know how that works. I can't see it being fast enough to use bird hunting. Seems more like a hound thing to me. Might work nice around the house to keep track of the dog and not have the huge antenna knocking into things though.
I'm interested if they are available. Does it include the headspace gauges? I really only need the gauges and internal action wrench if that saves on some shipping cost.
