Powerstep Insoles. Suffered from chronic ankle pain for years. Podiatrist recommended them and they changed my life. Zero ankle pain since. Even my girlfriend who works on her feet all day uses them now and has nothing but great things to say,
Hi all, looking for some suggestions for hunting jackets. For some background, I hunt muzzleloader seasons in New Mexico which means mid-october for elk and late october/early November for deer with the occasional early December for cow elk. I exclusively hunt units in central and southern New...
I disagree, caught hundreds of trout of all sizes with it, never broken anything but the tippet. In fact, I haven't even touched my western setups in two years.
DragonTAIL Mizuchi, especially great for a beginner but I still use mine almost exclusively. I've caught trout up to 18 inches with it. If I'm on a stream I know will ave bigger trout than 18 inches I'll bring my DragonTAIL Hellbender but even then, I wouldn't doubt the ability of the Mizuchi to...
I always carry my stove, like others have said, a hot meal mid-day can really boost your morale plus it forces me to have a lighter at all times in case I have to spend a cold night on the mountain.

I would figure out a split that hits each muscle group at least twice a week. Once a week isn't doing much for you IMO, in terms of muscular endurance or gains. For me personally, my body has responded well to chest/arms and legs/back splits. Monday/Wednesday I'm doing chest and arms and...
Hi everyone, got a question on glassing. I'm hunting a notoriously rough, steep unit with a muzzleloader and I have several glassing locations picked out that I have actually been to as well. The situation I find myself in, is that I have one that is almost perfect. Much higher than the...
Hey everyone, as my New Mexico muzzleloader hunt draws closer I'm really starting to overthink my load. My CVA wolf loves Hornady Boredriver FTX's (290 gr.) over two white hots and is very accurate out to 100 yards (my personal max distance) and punched a hole through a cow elk at about 50 yards...
Hey all, I drew the second muzzleloader bull hunt for unit 17 in New Mexico. I'm very familiar with the unit having turkey hunted there and I killed a cow in there last year. My question is for anyone who has had this hunt in the past - are the bulls still bugling or should I not worry too much...
