I realize this is a 4 year old thread, however Remington 150gr RN CoreLokts were what I started with in 270. Never failed to kill quickly and exited better than 90% of the time. Very reliable, 20 feet to 275 yards. Just my observations. I hope you found a winner for your setup.
I have shot 20 deer with 243 Win. My preferred is the Barnes 80 TTSX. Second choice is the 95gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. I’m a meat hunter mostly and the Barnes gives less bloodshot meat. The Nosler gives shorter trail jobs on average.
Hey,
I was recently gifted several boxes of 243 Oryx bullets.
Would these be worth hunting normal game animals(ie: deer, bear, hog)? Or are they too tough? Any recommendations for powders? I do hand load so that’s not an issue. Anyone have any experience with these bullets?
Thanks, Tom
I agree with the others. Trip it to someone who will shoot/collect it. Their value is at an all time high. Very serviceable hunting guns if you want to keep it.
Good luck, Tom

Hi, my name is Tom.
Currently live, play and work in the Northeast US. I have hunted the west previously when I lived in Colorado during the late 80’s/early 90’s. Hunted Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennessee as well.
Thanks for having me, Tom
