This is the first cartridge that I've sized down from the parent case instead of using headstamped brass. All Starline 6.5 Grendel brass, haven't lost a single case sizing to 22 ARC in one step. I do the same as gman and lube the inside of the necks with imperial sizing wax, as well as the...
I agree that it would be nice if they would shoot on the cost side. I'd like to try a different powder, both charge weights in them had cratered primers, and I was under Hornady's max for the bolt gun data.
Gen 2 American in 22 ARC. 75gr ELD-M, 30.4gr of Accurate 2520. This thing shoots great, just needs a better scope. I did drop a Timney trigger in it and would like to adjust the pull weight down a bit more.
Really didn't shoot that good for me. 2"+ on the two five shot groups I shot, while the 75gr ELD-Ms went under an inch for 10 shots. Overall length on them was 2.150" plus or minus like six thou on each side of that, and that was jumping about .030" to the lands.
Over the past few sessions I've done mostly 22 ARC stuff. Actually sorted a box of 75gr ELD-Ms since loading them to mag length resulted in approximately half of the 10 being over 2.260". That was before measuring to the lands, just trying to set them at mag length. After measuring, and then...
Over the weekend I necked down 51 (thanks Starline) pieces of 6.5 Grendel brass to 22 ARC. Some of the necks were a little crooked so I trimmed them all to min spec, chamfered and deburred, then threw them in the tumbler for a quick cleaning to get the lube off. Sitting on the bench ready to be...
Wasn't there an email from Powder Valley a few months ago that basically said all consumer products from Alliant were on indefinite hiatus? I seem to remember that, but then my local Scheels gets trickles of Alliant products in from time to time.
I just listened to the Hornady podcast about powder, and according to them, it is extremely temp stable in their testing. Take it for what it's worth, I've only shot my loads around 70-80 degrees, no cold weather data yet.
I think I still have some H414 that I bought when I first got into reloading more seriously. It was around 2010 I believe. Tags still on it... $24.99 a pound
First picture was 5 round groups at 100, looking for where velocity was at. Second picture was last Friday, 10 round group at 200 yards. I am missing a picture from earlier Friday at 100 yards, but it was an 8 round group and I packed it up due to it basically being one hole that was roughly a...
So I actually went back to test Staball HD again since I was having some preceived issues with my Accubond load since adding the suppressor, which turned out to just needing a deep clean. But, redoing a pressure test with the Accubonds and H1000, I figured what the hell I'll do one with the 143...
I was thinking the same, especially with it being on all the Roughtechs that I looked at. I thought it was weird that the regular T3X Lites did not have it. Glad that others can confirm they have it on theirs. Thanks everyone
I'll be putting a call into Tikka this week, but I'm curious if anyone else has noticed chipping on their bolt lugs? This specific rifle is a T3X Roughtech in 6.5 PRC. At the range this past weekend, after shooting this for the first time with my hand loads and the new suppressor, I had heavy...
Chronoplotter is a free download that you can input as many grain weights as you want, as well as multiple velocity readings at the weights. It will turn your data into a graph that can be saved as an image as well. Really nice, simple to use program.
Took the leap, paid for an Omega 300 DTM last night. Paperwork tomorrow and will update once it's done. I haven't picked through the whole thread at all, so maybe it's answered, but did anyone with multiple suppressors notice a time difference between your first one and then after?
More for micros I would assume. My favorite brewery doesn't post their nutritional facts, so really no clue. But I lost 10 pounds last week with minimal changes in diet, besides not drinking for the week
