Anyone have any experience with the Onetigris Obsidian Sleep Pad?

Thanks. I've never had any exposure to Onetigris, so even that overview is helpful.

    Montana Antelope

I live closer to central MT than truly southwest, but I have been seeing what I would consider to be fairly good numbers of goats in our area. I usually drive and glass for goats about once a week and have not seen anything to suggest that the biologists' surveys in our area will come back with...

That is a great looking mount and he is a Boomer! Where did you find him, generally that is?

Anyone have any experience with the Onetigris Obsidian Sleep Pad?

I just stumbled upon the Onetigris Obsidian sleep pad on the interwebs and it looks like it could be a nice, budget friendly pad. R-value of 5.2, not terribly heavy, and a price point of ~$80. That being said, I am always weary of the adage 'too good to be true.' So, I was hoping some of you...

    What lighter arrow for hunting?

Trajectory is not a "non issue". There is a lot to be said for shooting a flatter trajectory arrow/higher speed arrow. The three biggest are: Less time for wind drift. Flatter flight makes low branches easier to manage. Smaller pin gaps make gap shooting more accurate. There are a ton of folks...

    Emergency/Survival food in the backcountry.

Well, it's an economics thing. 8,000 calories from Peak Refuel is ~$138 8,000 calories from Augason Farms ~$35 Hunt can be a damn spendy proposition, so if there is a practical, pragmatic way to mitigate some of that cost it is worth at least investigating.

    Fool me once Salewa….

I in no way want to come off as contradictory, but I picked up a pair of these Salewa MTN Trainer 2 a couple of years back and my wife and I just had the conversation about how they were one of the best investments I have made in a long time. I wear them for everything you mentioned, including...

    Emergency/Survival food in the backcountry.

I was wondering if any of you have tried taking emergency/survival food into the backcountry. There are several brands out there like Augason Farms, ReadyWise, Ready Hour, My Patriot etc. out on the market that seem like they could be repurposed into backpacking foods. A brief look at some of...

Belt/suspenders to wear under a heavy pack?

I know that in an ideal world the best belt to wear for your pants, under your pack is no belt at all. However, that just isn't possible for me. My britches would be around my ankles in an instant and no one wants that. Does any have a good recommendation for a thin effective belt that won't dig...
