I took mine on a 12 day moose float and used it in my SO courthouse. Bottom line: I'm selling my seek XL. It's superior to the Seek stove in every way. If you want a good deal on an XL pm me!
I own the torrid and a seek XL. Assembly is amazing compared to the Seek. No shoving rod stock legs thru the body, the chimney adapter slots into the body cleanly instead of shoving crimped pipe into a hole and the hinged door alone is infinitely better than sliding the silly flat door side to...
My answer depends on how far you plan to stake your camp from a vehicle and how often you plan on moving. I have the Seek Outside Courthouse that I have used for ATV hunts, fly in moose and a buddy took it north of the Brooks range on a fan boat drop caribou hunt. It's a palace for 3 guys with...
Long overdue update. Spotter worked great but couldn't find any boars. Getting to see three cubs just after breaking out of their den and then seeing momma emerge was pretty awesome. Spotted a lot of caribou too but they are super easy to find. Was a great week in the mountains regardless.
Just got a phone call from Kowa. They're shipping a new scope/eye piece to me today. Great customer service experience. Looking forward to glassing for bear dens in a little over a week.
After much deliberation I pulled the trigger on my first alpha glass. Once I set her up I immediately noticed the speck on the top left corner in the image. It wasn't visible at 25x but as I zoom thru it showed between 40-50 then disappeared again at 60. I inspected surface of eyepiece and...
Thanks Dave. Think im going to go ahead and give the Aziak a try. Considering how light it is I consider that positive feedback for the Aziak. The tripods main job for me will be holding binos or a spotter.
It's both can design and personal preference.
My nomad 30 is a DT can but has a hub design so I could switch to either a xeno or keymo mount if quick attach is desired. These attachments also lengthen the can to allow the brake/flash hider to fit inside without contacting the baffles.

Midwayusa had the UL elite in 308 for $2699 which IMO is really where this gun should be priced at. I put an XLR stock on my 110 UL and changed the crappy bolt handle so I have roughly that much into the gun. One thing I can't do is cut 2" off my barrell like the elite does which as a supressor...
I've read loads of reviews and it sounds like a great little tripod but I've not seen any firsthand feedback on using the backcountry lite as a shooting platform.
So who's tried shooting off of it and what do you think?
30-06, yeah not exciting but I bought when there was zero ammo, powder or primers on the shelves so pragmatic me said I need a rifle I can feed. Now I want a 7prc. That said she has served me well and 06 has enough killing power to my max comfortable shooting range for now.
Bought my 110 UL 2 years ago and loved the accuracy but it had its issues as we all know. The items I felt most needed addressing on the 110UL was the sloppy magazine fitment, tupperware stock, and T rex arm of a bolt handle. Otherwise a great lightweight gun.
I went with an XLR element stock...
Long time searcher but it's time to join the community.
Live in the Fairbanks area and got here thanks to the military. 10+ years in AK but mostly fished hard and did some caribou hunting (the easy stuff).
Finally getting serious about the mountains, hiking in, and float hunting now and I love it.
Second can purchase I've ever made.
