    Tikka stock questions

I put the vertical grip on mine, and added a Triad Stock Pack. It comes with velcro strips you can stack inside it to get proper cheek height. Boom. Done.

Ever had Fire Formed Brass have a hard bolt close?

As alluded to above already, as you screw the die down and begin to squeeze the case body the shoulder will begin to move forward a bit, making the case fit tighter in the rifle (or even "not fit"). This is a sign you are getting close to where you want to be. As you screw the die down more, it...

What did you do in the reloading room today?

Friend gave me a bag with probably 300 1x fired 10mm brass. It was pretty dirty. I deprimed it and have it in the cleaner now. I'll use it to load practice ammo for the wife and I.

What's your most accurate hunting rifle?

Yes the CTR in the pic above it. I had it in a McRee aluminum chassis before, but put it back in it's original cheap plastic stock because I just don't care for the ergonomics of the chassis. It shoots just as well out of the original stock, and is considerably lighter.

    Your favorite hunting knife?

My wife brought home the puukko on the bottom from a trip to Finland. It's a handy little knife, and has become my favorite tool for field dressing and skinning. She actually brought home 2 of them, but one got lost somewhere. I ordered another for her with the blue from the same place, it...

Reloading advice for Non-Lead 6.5cm in 20in Carbon wrapped barrel

I agree with this idea wholeheartedly. Most people don't understand that "minimum expansion velocity" also means "minimum/ minimal expansion". It will expand some, but it ain't gonna look like the picture on the box. BTW, that miminum velocity for the 127LRX is 1600fps. Wife, son, and I have...

Reloading advice for Non-Lead 6.5cm in 20in Carbon wrapped barrel

I shoot the Barnes 127LRX and have had good success killing deer and antelope with it. Barnes factory load runs about 2820fps and won't shoot better than an inch or so out of my 24" Tikka at 100 yds. Wife's Tikka same. I am handloading them to 2940 and shooting about 1/2". Way mo bettah.

Sig Sauer P320 X-Ten Comp Reloads

Wife and I each have a full size xTen. I have reloaded a fair amount for them. The feeding issue is because of the magazine dimensions. When using a bullet with a very wide meplat, (like the 220gr Rimrock bullet used in the Buffalo Bore Outdoorsman Load, the 180gr JHP used in SIG'S OWN...
