My buddies grandpa had the same issue after hip replacement and had someone build a wedge that attached to the bottom of his shoe and allowed him to walk better without pain. Might be something to look into. Just not sure who he went to to have that built. I think a chiropractor actually...
Some of out best out of state hunts were just knocking on people's door and asking for permission to hunt. 8/10 we got a yes and a new spot to hunt in coming years.
On cold mornings the truck or sxs is cranked with heater wide open as soon as i wake up. By the time I am dressed and ready to go they are nice and warm.
Shift work for me. Take 4 days off and have 2 weeks off. Money is good and if there is something extra I want I can pick up a Overtime shift when it is not hunting season. Not sure if that is an option for you to look into.
