    Anybody experience “Christmas Toes” what did you do?

    Been dealing with it for three weeks post Colorado elk hunt with over 120 miles of trekking. I just assumed it was my peripheral neuropathy spreading. Middle three toes on right foot numb and tingling.

    Lightweight thermos

    I have been using a zoji for several years. always in my pack. Love how it keeps things hot, and the secure lock ensures no spills. I've owned three. Still have two. My zero turn ate one when I backed over it.

    What do you do for a living?

    Retired 30 Yr Navy Deep Sea Diver. Few follow on positions. Fully retired at age 50. Body is beat down from the diving but would not have changed a thing. Lots of free time but always something to do. Love having the freedom to enjoy life.

    Sidearm or Not?

    In all my years outdoors, Ive only had one bear charge, got between sow and cubs. Not fun. She broke charge before I had to fire. Otherwise never felt uncomfortable with any animals other than the two legged ones. Too many have just made me uneasy. Small weight penalty to be a little more at ease.

    I have tried a few. Peak has been best. Where is best place to buy in volume? Will be buying for four for up to 12 non consecutive days in backcountry.

    This is a concern for me for sure.. I have been studying and mapping the terrain where we plan to hunt almost daily to try to avoid trashing the area.

    Mathews Lift

    I'm in the exact same boat with the V3. I have an appointment for Friday to shoot the Lift. Probably should not. Just sold my TRIAX so I guess the V3 will become the back up.
