I’m running the MTN gear. This is my first season on it and so far I’m very impressed for the weight. It’s got some play in it but it is way more stable than I expected. Two deer have been shot off of it this year. My only complaint is the bottom to fold the leg down is a little difficult to...
I’d love a copy of that file too. This is the most genius idea I’ve seen in a while. If you could get those into sporting goods stores for a 10-15 bucks every pack out there would have one on it.
Those are super sharp, how have the talon panels held up? All I’ve seen are the pistol grips they make that are like stick on sand paper and they looked like they’d peel off to me.
That’s what I’ve been thinking about using, read through some of the other threads and it looks like it holds up. I was just hoping for that rubberized grip, I’m in western Oregon so lots of hunting in the rain and the rubber is awesome for that.
Hey I’ve got a 110 ultralight that I’m thinking about painting. I’ve also got a Bergara and I love the rubberized coating on it, and I want to replicate this on the Savage. I’m curious if anyone know of something that will come out similar? Sorry if it’s been posted before but all that I could...
Mostly will be shooting blacktails 300 and in. Spring bear in the east side every 2-3 years. And I might hunt elk with it occasionally but I’m typically an archery hunter for elk. I’ve shot a .300 win for years, wanted a lighter rifle and was going to go for a 7 prc, but I’ve got multiple...
I probably do not understand what goes into making a reticle and how our eyes react to it. That’s why I’m asking the question. In the moa reticle it obviously doesn’t continue vertically past like the shr. That is the similarity to the German #1 I see. It sounds like that doesn’t translate into...
I know there’s not a true post, I guess do you think it would feel more like using a fine duplex or closer to using something like this old weaver reticle?
The moa-2 reticle looks to me like it could be used similar to the old German post reticles. Sort of similar to a thlr on low power. I grew up using an old weaver with the post and I still like that reticle but I’m not sure if Mavens would work like that on low power or not.
It’s probably already been asked and I’ve missed it. How does the moa reticle compare to the mil on low power for lowlight hunting? I’m not set on needing mils or moa but I love the old post style reticle so I might go for a moa model if it’s as visible as the mil
Longtime lurker from Oregon. I’ve mostly read gear reviews. Forms contribution to the 6.5/.260 thread just convinced me to buy a creedmoor instead of another magnum. It’s a savage ultralite though not a tikka… so we’ll see if I can manage to fit in here.
