    Another dead Colorado wolf

Not saying that guy isn’t insane, or that some on the commission aren’t sympathetic to that guys views. I just think accuracy is important, less the lunatics immediately try to paint us as a bunch of idiots who can’t get their facts straight and are just trying to whip us hysteria. The fact is...

    Another dead Colorado wolf

This is bad, but the post is factually incorrect. From what Im able to find the speaker is Glenn Parton, who is a “rewilding expert” and not on the CPW commission. This was public comment.

    9mm Buffalo Bore 147gr +p vs G9 124gr +p woodsmen for Predator defense?

Grizz skull coming straight at you has a significant angle. I’ll stick with my .44 mag and hard cast.

CO Gov appoints Sierra Club leader to represent hunters/outfitters on CPW Commission

Our pathetic governor is stacking every political appointment with the leaders of the Sierra Club. I wouldn’t take a piss on this guy if he were on fire.

Colorado Unit 64/65 1st rifle season questions

I’ve run isopro with a pocket rocket stove at 11.5k and in the teens during second rifle without issue. You’ll be fine.

I wanna buy the Credo HX 2.5-15 but..

If anyone out there is between a Huron 3-12 and a Credo 2.5-15, you’ll probably want to go with the Credo if you can afford it, particularly if you shoot a caliber with some recoil. I have a Credo on my primary rifle which I love, and threw a Huron 3-12 on my back up .270 win. While the huron...

This has to stop. Hilariously bad execution of a hilariously bad proposal.

CO Gov appoints radical animal rights extremist as Director State Land Board

Agree. Based on the outcome of prop 127, I’d say there’s a very slim chance this new “wildlife commission” prop passes. There’s also a prop to stop the wolf introduction that’s in the signatures stage at the moment, it’s not all doom and gloom here.

Let's See Your Semi-Custom Tikka Builds

First range trip. Factory 127 LRX, can cover the group with a penny. That’ll work for me.

The map only shows what drainages they’re in. For example that drainage reaching all the way through JeffCo into Denver is Clear Creek, which runs 35 miles west to Loveland pass.

Non-trophy Elk Hunting - worth it?

My first elk hunt was an OTC tag where I sat on the side of a mountain at 11k feet with nothing to drink but boiled snow and didn’t see sh*t besides tracks for 4 days. And the whole time I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to do it. The mountain west is just awe inspiring, go for it.

MAP - Public Lands for Sale in US Senate Bill

Given that Lee has been trying to pass something along these lines for a decade now, I don’t think this was a poison pill play. My gut says he thought he could sneak it in the BBB and get it passed because of the recent momentum for Trump.

MAP - Public Lands for Sale in US Senate Bill

Crapo and Risch from Idaho announced today they will not support the land sale. Along with Zinke from Montana, that would be enough to kill a majority in the senate Edit: well I’m an idiot, Zinke is in the house… Support from Crapo and Risch is huge though.

MAP - Public Lands for Sale in US Senate Bill

It’s not that alone for me. It’s the culmination of a bunch of bad policy throughout. But anyway, I’ve beat a dead horse several times over here and will leave it be.

MAP - Public Lands for Sale in US Senate Bill

It’s additional bf, not total. That’s an additional 15B in bf over current levels across the next decade. I’m not even the tree hugger you’re making me out to be. I voted for trump 3 times. This bill is a disaster

MAP - Public Lands for Sale in US Senate Bill

Zero chance. This bill would require the harvest of 2.7 BILLION board feet from public lands in 2034 alone

MAP - Public Lands for Sale in US Senate Bill

I’m not against responsible logging and appropriate forest management. I am against another clause being snuck into the bill that requires a compounding 250m in incremental board ft each year until 2034. There is so much BS pork stuffed into this bill it’s insane.

MAP - Public Lands for Sale in US Senate Bill

Yea, also it’s two legitimate polls, and not just a finger in the wind estimate of an angry non resident. Even if you knocked 10% off as some kind of made up margin of error, that still leaves 2/3 of Americans opposing the sale. Take care man.
