    Age is just a number. I'm 52 and most of my hunting is solo. I drive 25-27 hours every September to chase elk because that has been my dream since I was a teenager reading Dwight Shuh stories. I started when I was 46. I'll stop when I can't climb the mountains anymore.

    I have a set from KUIU that is 10 years old at least. Don't remember the model name. They are lightweight and pack into the pocket of the jacket and pants.

    Cow tag for me this year. On an ES tag it would depend on my freezer.

    Backpack Fit, What Do You Prefer?

    I have an EXO and my waist belt is centered on the top of my hip bones. I'm 5'11" 190lbs. It may be that the frames of your packs just don't work with your torso. Watch Steve's' fitment videos at EXO and see if that helps.

    Good luck. Access from the north can be done on an atv. take a helmet and chainsaw.

    What hunting rig are you running/how do you use it

    2015 2500 and a 570 Sportsman. Everything else goes in the bed and out of sight. Truck has a few souvenirs from the Wyoming FSR's. When the truck doesn't fit the trail I take the bike.
