fuel injection/reverse and a longer track . Ski doo skaldic /trapper models have all these I think. You want a utilitarian machine not one built for a sled head. Always have a spare belt and toolkit. Just four a hours ago I blew a belt. Five miles from home, would have been a long walk.
Natives can hunt anything day or night on reservations. Paying hunters can do exactly the same. There are no game hunting regulations on reserves. There is NO use complaining to game wardens about it. They have NO authority on reservations. The stories are endless; you could have googled it all.
Had a black bear breaking in to a trailer. I went looking for him on a bush trail. He stood up four feet beside me. An oz and 1/8 of sixes in the heart made a one shot kill.
Check life insurance. You can pay a yearly premium. As years go by the cash value grows. If they don’t need money let it grow for a lifetime. If not cashed in your grandchildren will inherit it. I looked a many options. This one just fit my goals.
I am a landowner and let a lot of people hunt. Forget the booze. That is not cool anymore. Jerky/frozen halibut/ sweet potatoes and gift cards are just some of the gifts I have been given. All much appreciated. They were all family friendly. Alcohol is not ;and I do take an occasional drink.
I had a pudelpointer named Fritz. One of the versatile breeds. He wound sound on a treed coon for hours. Smart but stubborn. Never got as far in training as using the bringsel.
No electricity in rural Saskatchewan till 1957. And some folks didn’t want it then . We had a bath once a week on Saturday. Used coal/ wood and heater fuel to stay warm . Our house was like the neighbours, no insulation and drafts. All the coal oil lamps are still in my basement for emergency...
the preppers who dream of using their “bug out bag” and surviving would be in for a rude awakening. I grew up without electricity or running water. You better be young and healthy.
Ask about working pressure. As I recall my Stihl is 2200 and my old gas was 2600. Electric Stihl does all I need on farm without the annoyance of the gas engine.
I have hired from guide schools. Had quite a variety of people. Some young and still needed to learn manners and how to dress. Others older and to good for the grunt work. Most never understood that it was a real job and they were there to serve the customer: not be his buddy and drink beer with...
We had a number of mobile seismic camps on the Beaufort sea. A cook walked out of the kitchen and a polar bear hidden under the trailer killed him. Took an hour to scare him away from the body. Next week every camp got a .350 Remington. The one with the vent rib. The other polar bear incident we...
I had a llama for 14 years. He would be annoyed by a strange horse but my dogs chased his ass whenever they felt like it. Quite variable reaction from llamas.
I have a 50$ Chinese import.works well and don’t worry about loosing . But electric is probably the way to go especially if you already have batteries.
I ended up hunting alone most of my life. Got real old spending a week in moose camp with drunks. They all seemed to feel it was just part of hunting. Had a lot of great solo hunts.
