    I had some hangfires with cfe223 and 6.5x47 Wasn’t terrible but you could tell there was very slight delay. Some say flash hole size makes a difference

    Check out pattern makers vise, I line the jaws with 1/2” felt works very nice for stock work

    Yep straight tru oil, I could see thinning it though stuff hardens crazy fast

    look for the contact point on what is keeping it from seating into the stock, things in question put some marking agent on I use Prussian blue mixed with oil and a acid brush. It will transfer contact points onto the stock. Without pictures it’s anybody’s guess

    Really enjoyed looking through this! Looking forward to seeing it with finish Here’s one I built for an friend and finished with tru oil! Never looks finished without checkering, but that’s how he wanted it

    Bummer to hear they are discontinued. I bought one a while ago lives on the hunting rifle, don’t use asr as it adds about 1” in length. Had that system carbon lock on me as well on past setups.
