Kenetrek 7” vs 10”

I’ve got a pair of 10” insulated my dad gave me after he won them at a RMEF banquet. I’ve only worn them a few times after the break in and they’ve just felt a little too tall and uncomfortable. I’ll wear them in deeper snow but I keep going back to my Under Armours.

Montana Late Season Cow Elk

not a ton of timber since it’s mostly sandstone canyons but I’ll definitely keep that in mind. When we’ve seen them in past years they’ve been cruising through the areas with more tree cover so that makes sense.

Who is dropping their standards?

I shot a big bodied forkie on opening day since my wife was due with our son early in the deer season and we haven’t been seeing deer around lately. Like I haven’t even seen does in what seems like a couple years. At least there’s a late elk season here and it finally snowed today! Hoping for...

Your Elk Hunting Rifle

I don’t have a picture of it but I’ve been carrying my Savage 110 Bear Hunter in 338 win mag for the last couple years. Still haven’t gotten an elk with it yet but it’s not for a lack of trying!
