    Budget Cooler Recommendations

I saw an America's Test Kitchen gear test on coolers recently. Yeti and pelican were the best two, as expected. Less dense insulation did a better job than denser insulation, which is why the Yeti beat the pelican. I'm not sure if insulation specs are typically listed by the manufacturers, so...

What did you do in the reloading room today?

Yesterday I finished digging out my dad's old reloading gear and we are figuring out a workbench layout to get set up for the winter. I brought over my rock chucker to add to his old rock chucker and dillon 450. We're slowly but surely working towards reloading a handful of different calibers...

Considering Switching to Full Synthetic Oil

    Comfy shoes

I've always really liked my Asics. They were my favorite brand of running shoes (10 years ago when I did that much more) and they worked just as well working thirds in the ER. A foot/gait analysis could be helpful if you think there is something odd going of with either if those. Fleetfeet...

    Mid/Late Season Camo Outerwear Kit

Gray wolf woolens may be worth a look. The quality/durability has been fantastic and they can customize fit it to your exact measurements. I hunt in northern Indiana and upstate NY and their insulated gear keeps me plenty warm. The insulated wool vest of theirs is my favorite piece of...

What's something you wish you would have learned sooner in life

"Deeds, not words" and what is  truly important in life: family, close friends, not worrying what other people think, just be your good old self and be a good person. Life is crazy hard enough alone, everyone else can use a little hand no matter how small.

What do you do for a living? How can you help?

Great idea for a thread! I work in the simulation/innovation area of a hospital system in the midwest. We mainly do rapid prototyping, anatomical models, training/education models, plus whatever other unique project comes in. We primarily use additive manufacturing (3D printing) and 2-part...

    Another FNG...from Indiana

Greetings from Indiana. Lurked here every now and then but wanted to join officially. There seems to be such a wealth of knowledge here. I hope to learn as much as I can and contribute if i can as well. Born and raised in the crossroads state. I hunt whitetail here and in upstate NY...

    Dual Grind vs Single Grind

Single grind over here as well, but I'm fortunate that my family can't tell any difference in the texture. Has worked well for me jerky and plain ground that goes into the skillet. My in laws on the other hand, they like a fine grind for any venison.
