Awesome use case. It's fun to throw arrows 100 yards with it.

WTS/WTT Garmin Xero X1i Crossbow Scope

Selling a 2 year old Garmin Xero X1i crossbow scope. It was a package with a Tenpoint crossbow, and I use it too little to keep around. Everything works great, lenses are clean with no scratches. Has most recent firmware. Body has minor rubs from the lens covers. Includes lens covers and remote...

    <$1500 first deer rifle

It's just how it's made. They tried to shave weight. No regrets on it...It shoots sub-MOA groups, likes a bunch of ammo, and doesn't have much of velocity handicap with the short barrel (2735fps at barrel with 120gr barnes ttsx vs. published velocity of 2910fps). Plenty to run monos at any...

Best Option for Cell Camera System?

+1 for Tacticam. They've been the most reliable I've used, best battery life, and good service. It's a little thing, but I don't run cell service all year and they send an email reminder before they charge every month and make it easy to turn off. That's not been my experience with other companies.

    <$1500 first deer rifle

I really wouldn't stress too much about it. Go to a shop with good selection and run the actions of a few, buy the one the feels best. Spend as little as you can on the rifle and buy good glass -- you'll notice differences in glass more than you will on all the rifles you mentioned. If you're...

PSA - Don't be a jackass out there

... but the spotlight came unplugged as he was trying to raise his rifle out the truck window without spilling his white claw.

    Budget Trail Cameras that work

Glad you got the good ones. I've had absolutely terrible luck with LM2 units and the transmissions on LMs, LM2, and Flex. I'm slowly replacing spypoints with tactacams as budget allows.

    Dual Grind vs Single Grind

Another vote for a #22 dual grind. I have the Meat brand and love it. We got 7 hogs a few weeks back, and 95% of them went to grind. I debone, cut into grind-size pieces, and either grind in bulk or freeze in 4# bags (see below). It's a pain to have to run a big volume through twice and I've...

Opinions on newer F150 onboard generators

I have the 7kw in my 2021 F150 PB. I've used it very little so far, but for the cost it's been well worth it. I have a transfer switch in my house and it's been used in 2 outages (granted the longest only lasted 45 minutes but nice to know it works just in case). I've also run plug in saws...

    Planning public land pheasants

Planning a pheasant trip for this upcoming fall. I've got a 6 month old PP pup and want to get him on wild birds in his first full season. I'd like to do public, and have been looking at Kansas as it's within a day's drive from where I live in middle TN...but have been hearing mixed reports from...
