    Trouble with load development

At the moment im just trying to get good three shot groups. when I start getting somewhere ill start doing some 10 shot groups. if im getting 2" three shot groups, it's only going to get bigger. I figured if im wanting to shoot under an inch, why shoot 10 shots when im already consistently over...

    Trouble with load development

And before somebody suggests just switching to that Norma bullet, i absolutely would except I have not been impressed with the terminal performa on larger deer I’ve shot with it (4-5) such as axis and mule deer, which is mostly what I shoot.

    Trouble with load development

So I had chance this morning to mess a little bit with seating depth. I didn’t have time to do full ladder, but I started .020 off lands, did one group same distance off lands as factory loads and then split the difference. I was just interested to see if it made any difference. First shot three...

What I do is just run it the sizing die, cut the case to size, chamfer and de-burr, throw it in tumbler overnight then prime and reload

    Trouble with load development

Up to this point I’ve just done brass prep, (cut, clean, resize) then I’ve loaded those two bullets with 2 different powders at .2 gr. Charge weight up to heavy bolt lift. Seating depth just has been coal in manuals. I do a total of 9 each. So I can do three round groups three times. And that’s...

    Trouble with load development

I’ve just been going off the coal that 2.800 in the manual. Do you think adjusting seating depth makes that massive of a difference?

    Trouble with load development

New to reloading and looking for some suggestions. I have a savage ultra light in .308 1/10 22” barrel. Trying to figure out how to develop load for it. (1st time) With good factory ammo it is pretty capable of 3/4 moa 3round groups. How ever I’m having a hard time even getting under 1.5 moa...

Savage 110 ultralight shimmed bottom metal groups

I have a a savage 110 ultra light in .308 with a pure precision stock. I have noticed it doing something strange and wondered if any one else has ever ran into similar issues. As I have been attempting to do load development (I am new too reloading) I have been struggling to get groups under...

Mesa Precision Altitude stock on Savage 110 Ultralight rifle

Yea I think I must just have a pressure point somewhere throwing it off, it shoots very well with factory stock. I’ve done a lot of work to it, but was going to need to take more material off than I felt comfortable. So off to the gun smith

Mesa Precision Altitude stock on Savage 110 Ultralight rifle

Ordered one of these and the tang did not fit at all. Also does not fire with out shimming trigger guard. Hoping to have a gunsmith fit and bed. Here is a pic, was much worse and I’ve already done some work to it. Was pretty bummed because I like the stock a lot, just that tang bothers the crap...
