For shorter draw lengths, nobody has beat Hoyt from what I have seen. They spec the cams and mods to be optimized at those shorter draws. The eclipse rips for women. Do give that one a look.
For arrows, penetration will be key. A 4mm Axis would be the crème de la crème. It’s like $60...
I went with a 6mm creed in a suppressed bolt rifle. 21” barrel with a Harvester Evo on the end. But, I also intend to kill a few with a 45-70 this year. So… there’s that.
Crazy story! Glad you were able to connect with the first shot. When in cougar country I carry a Taurus Judge with 410 personal defense loads. At 20 yards it throws three projectiles in about a 7 inch pattern; and I can fire five off pretty quick.
Shawn does a great job of listening. I used to watch his previous YouTube channel, Vigilance Elite, and he had some good info on there too. Stuff on how to setup gear or use certain things that was really helpful. He had a great video on AR15 reticle usage.
