I am by no means an expert, but I have found the Maven rs1.2 to be an excellent fit for my 300wsm. I took this bull @ 550 yds off my pack and it was more than enough magnification to make the shot. Any feedback on Vortex long range classes? There Edge and outdoor training center are within two hours for me. I was planning on going to them over the winter/spring after hunting season, but now I'm not sure if is the best use of my money after reading this.- Finn

#4 buckshot choke combo
Thanks for the reply. Over choking was exactly what I was worried about. It was his dedicated turkey gun and has an old non-ported undertaker choke in it. I can't find anything about what diameter those are anywhere. I will try a Carlson's .690 next if I can't get this one to work.- Finn

Crispi vs Kenetrek
I have only used Crispi with no slip issue. Do you have a preference with comfort/fatigue having used both? If it depends on the application that is good info too. I have been hearing a lot about people going to a really stiff sole even for situations that don't involve the more technical terrain. -
