    I take notes on where I see the most annoying squirrels during deer then head out when I have a free day. Lately have been enjoying going with a friend who is training squirrel dogs. Still a quick spur of the moment afternoon hunt.

    How many days a year do you hunt?

    Hunting in the south is hard to get motivated to hunt deer beginning in September as the humidity seems worse the older I get. lol. Days in the woods are limited more by the last days of summer hanging on. The full day sits have been reduced greatly when family and kids came along (love them all).

    The .17 seems like it might be my next Amal animal rifle. Shot some crows with the .22LR and never seems to make it through the feathers.
