Lots of deer hunting in South Dakota, mostly an hour or so drive from Sioux Falls. Very easy to find places to shoot with ranges outside of the city, farm ground, and other options. Can't speak on the competitions. SD is a great place to live. The eastern side of SD doesn't offer much for...
Planning on continuing until at least the end of February. Have noticed some mental and physical improvements but not to where I want to be yet. Going to clean up the diet for the month of Feb and see where we end up.
Had a couple NA beers last night. Have never tried one, but they were tasty...
Came up with this scenario last night: DDP beats Strickland, Strickland rematches Izzy which would be a big fight, Khamzat wins his next fight and then gets the shot vs DDP.
Beyond that Pereira beats Hill, and after Izzy beats Strickland he moves up to fight Alex. And Alex hopefully does...
So happy that Strickland beat Izzy. I cannot stand that guy.
But I think DDP takes this one. Too strong and unorthodox, walks forward unafraid. Seans style suits a traditional matchup like Izzy, but doesn't match up well against DDP IMO.
I like DDP and Strickland so good with either outcome...
I am, it's been rough. Also gave up zyn Jan 1 which affects me much more than giving up booze.
Did a couple dry months this summer. Took 2 to 3 weeks to notice any changes but after that the sleep quality was improved and lost some weight without any other diet changes.
Giving up nicotine...
I have been with the same company for 18 years and make a very good salary. A salary that I could not replicate if I decided to leave the company. I drive a desk for 50 hours a week.
The problem I've been having for the past couple years is I just can't get myself "motivated" to get going at...
I like listening to the Meateater podcast but Steve ruined this one for me. He's known for talking over guests but i can usually get past that. When you have a guest on like Felker, interesting guy and well spoken, I want to hear what he has to say. He couldn't get much out before Steve high...
I own a fair amount of sitka, first lite, ect, but the Kings Camo gear I have seems to good quality at a more reasonable price. probably not the cheapest stuff you can buy, but it holds up well and works just the same as everything else.
It happens, but it eats at a guy. I shot a buck Oct 1, waited 4 hours and bumped him from his bed. We recovered the following day only 100 yards from that bed, but I was mad at myself the day we bumped him. Learned a couple things:
I made a good shot and that deer still lived for over 4 hours...
I'm not to mechanically savvy so correct me if I'm wrong. Guessing the lift kit did not address the angle which is why the stock control arms failed? But the shop then put new control arms on driver and passenger side that were designed to compensate for the 3" lift angle, but that apparently...
I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 6.2L. Bought it new, put a 3" lift on the front and 2" lift on the back (will never do that again), new wheels and tires. 2 years ago at 40,000 miles the right front control arm/ball joint went bad. Brought it to where I got the lift, they recommended replacing both...
I did not take pictures of the shot, unfortunately the deer was so bloated upon recovery that all i could do was remove the rack. I sure thought he was hurting after bedding down 4 times in the first 100 yards but he managed to live at least 4 hours after the shot.
Glad we recovered, after...
From the look of the arrow when the deer was walking away it appeared to be 2-4 inches, as almost the entire arrow was hanging out. think when the buck crashed he landed on the arrow and pushed it further into the cavity. Deer was probably 2 to 4 feet uphill of me.
Thought about the bottom of...
I've been shooting the QAD exodus for several years, been a great head. Think every whitetail I've hit in the right spot has zipped right through, until this year.
Shot a nice whitetail on Oct 1, was sitting on the ground and he came in broadside, slightly uphill from me, shot him at 10 yards...
