    If they are bugling I’d go right back at him with a bugle. I always try to mimic what they are doing.

    Pretty crazy how good their smell is. Not sure on max distance, but if it’s swirling you already know you are in trouble.

    I usually cow call first. Wait 2-5 minutes then cow call again. Wait a couple minutes then send out the bugle. Worked for me this year pretty well. But I’m still new to all this.
