Welcome from GA! A fellow whitetail hunter newish to western elk hunting the last several years. Came here to take it all in and boy is enough content to pick up where others have learned. Exclusively a bow Hunter so the whitetail knowledge has paid off early season when elk aren’t as vocal.
I’ll second this thought to get them taken in as needed. I own 3 pair of Attacks and prefer them slightly loose when packing and I regularly use the side vents when things heat up. Hard to beat as far as comfort when paired with good set of gaiters (Peax).
Similar story here. Came to research packs a while back and now find myself humbled by the wealth of knowledge. Great to pick up a few field hacks from those who have far more time in the fields/mountains.
Hadn’t thought of that, as those ounces can add up a longer hunts. I basically still go with the military field shower aka wet ones. Face/underarms/crotch, always in order.
