    Giardia

When I was young, maybe 5 or 6 years old, I vividly remember eating a whole patch of mushrooms that were under a tree in my backyard. Might have been a dozen or so little brown ones. Since I'm still alive, I have to assume they weren't poisonous. Still, to this day I thank God he let me live...

Most expensive thing you lost while hunting

Lost my phone once. Was using it to take some video of the layout from my vantage point and eventually put it down. I scoured that area for hours and never found it. Have you ever gone too light?

When I first got into traditional gear hikes and hunts I quickly realized how much heavier that gear is compared to more modern synthetic stuff. This caused me to drastically reduce the amount of gear I was carrying into overnight hikes. It backfired one night when unexpected temp drops froze me...

    Socks- why the merino?

My feet sweat no matter what I do. I switched from synthetic blend to merino about a year ago and have found that my feet don't stink as bad and also inside my boots are actually drier for some reason with merino socks. The socks are still damp but something is making the boot more aerated or...
