    What Diameter tube are you using on both ends? And are you using extruded square tube?

    Thanks you that makes allot more sense now. You mentioned You wish you had gone with a screw jack instead of a threaded rod. From your drawing it would look easier to use nuts, Not sure how you would do that with a screw jack unless they makes nuts for those as well.

    I'm not sure how this bearing works. Is there a locking nut on the shaft on the other side of the plate?

    Why do you wish you went with the screw jack? I assume it would be faster opening closing? Where did you get the wheel?

    Will that work with the screw version of the threaded rod? Really could use a picture of it dissembled! I'm sure you need to weld something in this assembly.

    What bearing do we need, you have any pictures of how the acme rod assembly all attaches to the frame?
