I bought this for a WA musket and found something I prefer more.
Would like to get my money back.
Very faint ring marks. Glass is perfect. See pictures. PM for more pics. Would like this to stay in WA for the musket guys but first come first served sold 00$ shipped...
The most common point made here is that if it was much more difficult to put in then the "guys " That really want to hunt would have a better chance of getting a tag. LOL. Muddy the water is a piss poor strategy.
If you don't like point system just buy tags from landowners or hit the raffles...
Monos need and like to go fast. The Etip is a great choice as well. A 145 would get speed! I would want 3100fps with a mono to assure opening at the 500 yard mark.
As to starting load development I would find the coal and load IMR 7828 with a fed210. Work up to pressure find the dept it...
I'm on my 4th load work up for different 6.5 saum use RL 26 because it makes more fps than everything else but it will carbon ring you if you don't keep it clean.
H1000 with Berger 140's is easy enough to get tiny groups. 61 to 63 is the spot depending on the reamer and throat geometry.

I settled on IMR 7828 with 150 scirocco II in my 22" Mike Rock 8 twist. Fed 210m Norma brass.
3010fps easy. Also same load with a lapua scenar in 150 at 3080fps.
Have ran every from 140's to 180's and tried H100O H4831 H4530 Rl17 Rl26 nothing beats IMR7828 except IMR7977 but it's like hens...
I absolutely will not use any grease on a breach plug. A couple wraps of pipe thread tape and good to go. I also store the gun oiled but before I load it I shoot tce from Brownells throw it to get all the oil out. Once the tce dries I make sure no oil is on my plug inside and out then wrap...
You realize Hodgdon just bottle powder. They bought other brands that did the same. The shortage of nitrocellulose is the problem. Dont hold your breath that VV is going to save us from inflation of price.
Think saintmarks! They sell to Hodgson and it's bottled with a name you recognize...
Mag primers are the most difficult to find. Seems a waste to use them in an application where better options are available. That said they will work fine.
