Are we talking archery or rifle? Mine has been good to me for archery with yardage and angles. Not sure how it would be for a long steep rifle shot though
I would start High. Nevada deer are accustomed to the terrain here in nevada and make it work. I have had similar hunts here and have had the most success up high. My plan b would be trying to pattern the crop deer going to and from the fields.
A buddy of mine has been up there scouting for his upcoming archery hunt and is seeing some monsters. Rain really helped us out here in nevada when it comes to antler growth. Hell of a year to have a bull tag. I'll be not to far from there chasing them with my bow in a couple weeks.
I have used a havalon for a while now and it has always been great for me. I also carry a hogue skinning knife for when I need something a little more sturdy.
Anyone draw a nevada elk tag this year? Getting pumped for my upcoming archery hunt here in my home state and I was curious how many others will be chasing them as well..
