Kansan plead guilty to poaching Moose in Colorado

Agreed. This was one person, who made a horrible but hopefully singular decision to poach, who got a harsher punishment than some people who've ran organized poaching operations for years. I'm glad they caught him, but feels a little backwards to me.

How did you guys who had no one to teach you get into hunting?

I grew up fishing and shooting .22s and clays. Never hunted until I was 24. I researched the crap out of rifles, cartridges, field dressing, butchering, etc. Put some serious hours on YouTube. First three hunts were for antelope. They're an easier hunt depending on terrain and density and I love...

6.5 grendel projectiles

On the lead free topic, has anyone tried the TTSX or Controlled Chaos? I've used the TTSX in my 7mm-08 with success, curious how it does at a slower speed.

Anybody raise/farm their own worms for fishing?

Like some other folks have said, composting would be a great way to go. You can make a little vermiculture set up in a Rubbermaid tote and farm worms and compost at the same time. Usually that's with reg wigglers though, not night crawlers.
