Interested in this myself. Just started with my 243. Loaded 103ELDM with 39grains H4350. Around an inch. Sorry, that's the only powder i have on hand for it.
I bought a box of 108s the other day so will be toying with those too. Will post results.
My attempts with 95gn Nosler left a lot to be...
Bought last year. Mounted onto my Tikka 243. Right hand. Not what I decided afterward what I want to do, so it goes. Good stock for PRS, target and possibly predator hunting.
Some marks on the stock where the bipod was. Fits well and uses Tikka factory bottom plastic. $200 plus shipping.
I wasn't going to post another 77TMK kill but it's kind of weird so worth mentioning. Buck above us, Terry mt called 100 yards, buck started walking so I tracked him a couple feet and shot his heart in two. Entrance hole must be splash as it's so big. I hit a rib square. Heart cut in half, no...
Started down the Tikka RSS 223 road over a year ago. Have killed a couple animals (deer and elk) with it. Cut it to 18", threaded it, installed a Lane Supressor , Stockies VG, and am 100% convinced it'll do this every time I shoot it if I do my part. I've shot it a lot.
The two I pulled in this...
My first and last experience with AAC 77TMK was not good. Cases splitting, gas in my face, primers lifting. I did try but found about 40% failure rate on that batch. I pulled bullets and found mixed powders. Reloaded a few with my powder and cases were still splitting. Not even close to a max...
Missed a Maine Moose once. Big sob. Got home, disgusted, put the gun away and didn't look at it for two years. Brought it out a couple years ago and the scope was shooting 8" high at 100. Verified zero before the hunt but not after several hours of travel to the camp.
I've listened carefully...
I did not know about this Henry... Good luck with your choice. My Tikka in 223 shoots 5.56 fine. And it's my go to in the safe after last seasons performance.
I will be looking for the Henry now.
