Best suppressor for dedicated 6.5 and 243 use

Lane Scorpion 6.5 Those are the two calibers I use it on. Works well for me.

    Wind!

We're in Rapid. I woke up at 3am this morning hearing a big pine hit the ground outside my window. Then more. That train sound... We have 10 trees down, not a one hit the house or garage. Handrail on the deck got damaged. That's it. I should go buy a lottery ticket. Also, I have firewood for...

What's everyone buying their wives for Christmas?

CZ457 with all the parts to make a target rifle out of it. She's excited. I think I win here.

    Montana

I'm from the east, Maine. Moved to SD 4 or so years ago. Learning all of the differences in hunting here has been fun for the most part. After roaming the big woods every November and going wherever I wanted for decades, it's hard to look at all the open land and be boxed into tiny areas of...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Was walking some public all day. On the way back to the truck I popped up out of the last drainage to see this guy. Seeing it was my last day he looked big enough. He took off with a bunch of does and I got tunnel vision on him. I ranged after the fact but at about 55 yards running broad side to...

South Dakota Black Hills Public Land

Hike back in. Most seem to be driving around. I like to bow hunt during gun season. It's productive if you get back in off the roads. So is rifle hunting.

    Buying second hand on classifieds

I just lost $170.00 from a guy on here. That amount is one reason I went through with the purchase. I can eat that much and I did. Lesson learned, not again.

    WTS Oryx Chassis Savage MK2

This turned out to be a scam. The guy Niceandkozy8 stole $170.00 from me. Beware, he has a history of selling on this site. I can eat the loss easily enough but that's not the issue for me. Actual thieves aside, people not keeping their word, is too common these days. Basically, went like...

Good to hear. My 108 load is 41.5 grains of H4350. It's a one inch load and moving right along. 1:8" Tikka. Have not had luck with the 103. Will give yours a try. Thank you. Screen name in reference to an EXC or XCW?

    JUST ONE HUNTER’S HUMBLE OPINION

I'm 64, a big woods hunter. Moved out west and have learned to shoot far. Really far but my personal limit on game is short of what my rifles can do. I think I recently said something like this to a shooting friend, I'm 100% at 400 yards at the range but I'm going to try and get closer to an...

Let's See Your Semi-Custom Tikka Builds

Nothing special. My .223 Tikka got cut, metal bottom, etc. This .243 is a shooter as is. I'm pushing my 108s at 2900 fps with good accuracy. 1.2" 10 shot groups. Stockies VG carbon painted with light coat of sandy paint over black. It's grippy all over. Plan to shoot it at an Antelope in Montana...

10/22 suppressed or bolt action suppressed 22LR

Bolt is quieter. Also doesn't gum up as quick as the 10/22. Mine can start acting up after only 30 rounds or so. It does have a match barrel on it though. Quick clean and it's back to shooting fine.

    Suppressed 22 LR accuracy

My suppressed bolt 22LR is accurate enough for me to take head shots on turkeys, rabbits and squirrels out to 50 yards. I won't hesitate. It's a savage Mark II. It does the same thing without the suppressor. If I recall, it shoots the same on paper with and without. It's zeroed for sub sonic ammo.
