    75 Hard

I have found with home gyms that when I lack motivation it is really easy to just skip gym day when it’s at home. It sort of became just “there” I suppose. With a gym membership, I can throw back pre-workout/ or not, and hop in the car. Once I’m driving it’s an easy kill to just hit the gym. I...

7mm PRC - Savage 110 Ultralight or Christensen Mesa?

For me it really has been 1. The vast majority of what I’ve read has been a nod to their quality (and accuracy). And 2. If it’s not, their warranty is fantastic. Not sure what else I’d want out of a lightweight hunting rifle, although I prefer the element for the weight savings which adds a bit...

    boot break-in process

This is a good point. There can be a huge discrepancy between what “breaking” in a boot means to people. Some want to form the boot, others to break in the materials such as a hard outsole rubber. In any case, the ideal boot for you shouldn’t hurt your feet too much.

    Whats the best of Vortex?

I second this. The gen 2-E 1-6 has been worth its weight in gold.

    Vortex Vipers vs. Razor HD

Like others here have mentioned, the Razor is an all around better set. Nothing wrong with the Vipers, in my opinion they will work for most people. But the glass and edge clarity on the Razor’s were noticeable to me when I was looking. If you’re spending that money I’d also look at Meopta...

Seekins Havak PH2 vs Springfield Waypoint

It certainly doesn’t answer your question, but I’ll also throw in the Bergara Squared Crest for you to consider. Look up Jim Harmer from backfire tv. He did a good write up on his rifle selections. He ranked the Waypoint at the top for the price range, and only mentioned the Bergara because at...

7mm PRC - Savage 110 Ultralight or Christensen Mesa?

Sure thing. I didn’t want to land on a gun that expensive, but man that gun chose me! A friend, who is also on here, has one that I messed with and I was blown away with the overall fit, finish and quality. The weight is crazy light, which people have their opinions on though. Big thing for me...

7mm PRC - Savage 110 Ultralight or Christensen Mesa?

I was in a similar boat and able to find a Mesa FFT in store. I was very impressed with the build quality and weight (for the price). Interestingly, I had been told by a local shop that they had to send back a few of the FFT models due to issues with the carbon stocks. No issues with the cheaper...

    boot break-in process

That hike will certainly be a good start to breaking them in! Like others have mentioned nothing will beat just wearing them. If your gym allows it, another good way to break them in quick is on the stair stepper! As for softening the leather to break in, mink oil is hit or miss with certain...

    Merino Wool?

How does the merino compare to products like polartec fleece? Does merino retain warmth when wet as well as the synthetics?
