Sounds like a lot of positive sides to the gravity setups. What are some of the top brands? Any of them have good cross compatibility with different houses and hydration bags?

Cheap Stuff that Works

I’ve been using and abusing this led headlamp for 5 years now and it has held up great. Not the lightest option, but super bright. The lens can also be focused for a wide broadcast beam or very narrow beam. (Hopefully I got the link fixed this time!) Amazon - Rechargeable LED Headlamp

Waterfowl Dog Collar Material ?

I’ve had great luck with the leather collar from Gun Dog Supply for waterfowl, upland and everyday use. I do keep it oiled with a good leather saddle oil every 4 to 6 months. As others have mentioned, the engraved brass tag is a no brainer no matter what material the collar is.

Best Pheasant/Grouse/Family Dog

Partial to the pointing labs myself. Great hunters, retriever and companion. As with any breed, knowing what you want in a dog and researching bloodlines is important.

Training time

How/where do you like to catch pigeons? I don’t have a place to keep a coop, but catching a couple on the weekends would be a good idea to keep my dog tuned up.
