I just have a cheapo (I think it was a primos) one, can't even remember the name. I'm in the market for a new one though and am curious what others have had good success with as my kids have claimed mine now and there's no way I'm going to put that back in my mouth after they've been blowing...
What general areas in either state are you looking at hunting? Were you thinking of backpacking and setting up a Basecamp, or just hiking in from a trailhead everyday?
I have seen one in southwest Montana that was a two tone color phased bear. The head and shoulders were really blonde, and then everything below the shoulders and upper chest were a dark chocolate brown color. I haven't seen another one like that since unfortunately.
Long time lurker, but thought I should start participating some on the forum finally. I have been grateful for all of the information I have gleamed off of this site. I'm in the Helena, MT area and am an adult onset hunter that has been continuously learning over the past 10 years or so.

How did the tripod work for you guys during hunting season this year? I'm just wondering if anyone was able to use it in the field and how it worked for you in that scenario vs at the range?
Sorry to resurrect a semi-old thread goathunter, but did you end up going with the mesa stock and carbon 6 barrel configuration, and if so how did it turn out for you?
Also, davsco, how did the featherweight barrel look/fit in the mesa stock you ordered? I'm considering doing a semi Custom...
