I have always hunted until dark, however, have never had much success. Most of my encounters have been early morning and afternoon. I’ve seen them before dark, but never had a great chance for some reason. I’ll keep staying out until dark though.

I've been really happy with Kuiu bags. If you're patient they put them on sale at times. Probably splitting hairs, I'm sure most of the nice bags from good companies would be adequate.
Peak, although Mtn House has some good ones. Going to try more of the items available at grocery store like Knorr and pre-packaged chicken, etc.... $14 for Peak or Mtn House here locally, need to start finding and buying it on sale.
