most won't give it an honest try. The experience of the traditional hunt is a driving force for those that do and stick with it. I have hunted with traditional 90% of the time the past 10 years.
About to go on a second archery hunt for elk in Colorado. I'm more of a diy hunter, but realize that it takes time to learn to hunt elk on your own. Opinion on aticking to diy or going with an outfitters drop camp. Pros and cons.
I have both an inline with scope and a caplock with iron sights. It would not bother me to only use iron sights, as I prefer the more primitive style. Would like to see more states looking at these seasons.
