6.5PRC or 7PRC?
Very helpful, I think I read a lot of very similar info and was kind of in the same predicament, I want to shoot some heavier loads just for the knock down, but still on the fence if the extra recoil is worth it. But I guess with a good brake or suppressor that can definitely be mitigated. -
6.5PRC or 7PRC?
I’m upgrading rifles this year and right now I’m leaning toward the tikka T3x roughneck in 6.5PRC. It’ll be used for essentially everything on the western half of the country as I’m in Idaho and will be taking trips to Alaska every few years. Would I potentially regret not getting a 7PRC? -
Best Puffy?
Looking at going a different direction with my puffy jacket and curious what everybody else is running. I currently have the Kuiu Super Down Ultra, and I like it. The weight is great and it’s pretty warm in most situations, but every single time I wear it it seems like I lose a handful of down... -
Best optic $12-1500 range?
Finally trying to upgrade my Vortex Viper HS after having to send it in for my 3rd warranty. What would everybody recommend in the $12-1500 range for western hunting mostly Idaho and Alaska. Don’t need to take 1000yd shots at game. Looking for any opinions. -
Bb or 2 shot for snows?
Anybody like 2 or bb better than the other for snow geese? Have a hunt booked this spring and trying to decide if bb is worth the extra money per box.- cck

Kuiu Chugach vs Stone Glacier M5
Yes it’s pretty quiet. You could make some noise with it just due to the waterproof material being a bit more rigid but definitely not loud. I got the gray, I didn’t like the coyote for the same reason and figured everything is dark when it rains anyway so the gray wouldn’t be a big deal. -
Kuiu Chugach vs Stone Glacier M5
I got the M5, so far it’s awesome. Can’t compare it to the chugach, but seems ridiculously durable brush busting and dumps heat well. I haven’t used it in any tremendous downpours yet, but I really like it. -
