    BARTLEIN BARRELS CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE

So far, I have approx. 200 rounds through a 7 Allen Mag with a partial +P throat on a Bartlein 400MOD. Got some fire cracking with 106 gr of RL33 blowing through, but no visually perceptible erosion. Pretty impressed actually though it's probably rough enough to give some trouble to a...

Finished load development on these with the 7 Allen Mag / 26" barrel. This was the accuracy load below pressure: 160 gr McGuire .284 100.0 gr Retumbo Fed-215 3.750” OAL 3470 fps Only tested to 750 yd so far due to weather, but they were 0.5 MOA or less at that range. Absolutely NO vertical...

    Not so long-range monolithic bullets

I like them for 500 yd and in. They are designed with terminal performance as a priority, not BC. I use other options for longer range, as per my former post.

    Not so long-range monolithic bullets

I've had lots of good experiences with Hammer bullets as well.

    BARTLEIN BARRELS CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE

I think this has pretty much wound the subject out. 😉 Bad personal experiences do happen and are unfortunate. But without firsthand observation/knowledge of all the contributing factors, "claims" is all we have to go on and I have multiple pro smiths I work with who have long-standing positive...

    Not so long-range monolithic bullets

My results in a 7 Allen Mag (26") 147 gr Apex .284 103.0 gr Retumbo Fed-215 3.690" OAL 3730 fps 160 gr McGuire .284 100.0 gr Retumbo Fed-215 3.750” OAL 3470 fps Both very accurate. The Apex G7 seems to true to .310. It has a slight mag advantage so going to be running that one for terminal...

Gunwerks 6ix+, AB Raptor Eight Stack, CGS Hyperion K, Thunder Beast Dominus

The Omega 300 on our CA Ridgeline 6.5 Creed definitely reduces recoil to the point of hardly noticeable difference between the can and the factory radial break. Haven't tried it on a magnum rifle yet. Likely more noticeable difference there. The Omega 300 does have a removable anchor brake...

Clarification from Kirby: "Sorry, the 104.0 gr load is what i considered max for this combo which produced 3623 fps. This load would likely only allow 4-5 firings per case. The 103.0 gr load is the load i tested for accuracy. Slightly less pressure, should get into that 8 firings per case...

    McGuire ballistics review

I see got something mixed up with the 103 or 104 gr load vs velocity. Waiting on him to clarify. Seems like a viable bullet option to me. (Edited the post to show 103 gr)

    McGuire ballistics review

I sent some of these to Kirby Allen since I didn't have a 30 cal rifle to try in myself. Here's his detailed report: ****************************************************************** Got the load development and testing done with the McGuire Ballistics 30 cal 178 gr. Try them and prove the BC is off. Not impressed with your approach. I'm about to give a detailed report of testing. Doing is better than talking.

They might fly good but be terminally compromised on impact? That's the part I'd be concerned about with marginal stabilization.

    Choosing a bullet.

I use them in one of my rifles. I like the flight ballistics, but not quite as satisfied with the terminal performance at my high impact velocities. Have used others that held up better and gave more consistent on-game results. 3k and under, I think they work very well. Maybe a little more...
