Anybody know what kind of vegetation high country mule deer will be feeding on above timber line in Idaho. Just looking for an idea of what kind of vegetation to be paying attention to.

How much velvet preservative?

Any body know how long the mulies in Idaho generally hold their velvet? I'm headed up there for the first week of archery and had a guy tell me yesterday that most the bucks would be rubbed by the first week in Sept.

this is true when it comes to P&Y, but if your just wanting to do a euro with velvet antlers you can preserve them in the field with 4 in 1 velvet tan and get them in a freezer as soon as you get home, then freeze dry them later, or not freeze dry them at all if you are happy with the velvet...
