Yes, the zip ties hold the o rings on, but the o rings would have to shear through a quarter inch of titanium at the top of the spikes, since the direction of force is perpendicular to the surface of the spikes. The zip ties don’t bear any of the load. They simply keep the o ring from slipping off of the end. The ring is what bears the full weight of the draw. Look closely at the bowstring and see that it actually is anchored to the cable clamp base, about four inches below the tip of the spike. So it’s...- Myles Riley

A new type of bow design
I turned an old children’s compound bow into a compact lever bow. Introducing the "Clever" bow. The draw is 28 inches, and the draw weight is around 60 lb. The levers are tent stakes I bought off Amazon for $28, the string is D loop string, those silver things on the levers are 1/16" cable...- Myles Riley
